Music

Glen Hope offers a very full and varied music program with opportunities for all ages to participate.  Our program includes "Kids' Praise" for children in K-5th grade, numerous opportunities for our students in grades 6-12 to participate as individuals or in groups, both vocally and instrumentally.  We also have an adult Worship Choir and a "Young at Hearts" Senior Adult Choir.  Soloists, small groups and ensembles are also a large part of our music ministry.  For instrumentalists, we have our Instrumental Ensemble, which leads in worship through the use of band/orchestra instruments.

Joyful Noise
This program prepares exciting worship music and seasonal programs teaching our children both musical and spiritual concepts.  Drama and signing are often included in their programs.  GH.Kids presents two seasonal programs per year, as well as leading in our worship services on occasion.

Worship Choir
The Worship Choir is made up of upper high school students through senior adult singers who offer their vocal gifts to God in the preparing of music for weekly worship times and special services.  This  versatile choir presents worship music from many genres and styles.  Soloists and ensemble groups also have opportunities to lead in worship.

"Young at Hearts" Choir
The Young at Hearts Choir is composed of senior adults age 55 & up who love to make a "joyful noise" to the Lord.  There are no auditions, so everyone is welcome.  We sing a variety of music styles ranging from gospel songs to hymn arrangements to original pieces written for the senior voice.  There are many opportunities for this choir to share outside the walls of the church.  We regularly sing for local events, Senior Recreation Centers, nursing homes and retirement facilities.  The Young at Hearts also prepare at least one complete musical during the year.  Most of all, we just enjoy singing and being together.

Instrumental Ensemble
Instrumentalists at Glen Hope also have opportunities to share their talents.  Our ensemble prepares music to play as an ensemble as well as to accompany congregational worship.  This group is open to any band or orchestra player in high school and above.

Youth and Adult Handbells
We offer a studnet handbell choir for those students withing to learn to read and play a handbell score.  Our handbell choir has played for our worship servicesand special events, and has performed at nursing homes and retirement centers.  This groups is open to those who read music and desire to share in worship through the beauty of handbells.
