Young at Hearts
The Young At Hearts ministry is a ministry to the Senior Adults of Glen Hope Baptist Church. This ministry provides opportunities for fellowship, learning, and activities for our senior adults. Our program consists of fellowship luncheons here at the church, day-trips and overnight trips, conferences with a senior application, and choir. Our day-trips consist of traveling to locations of fun and/or interest within a two-three hour drive. Our longer trips have included in recent years, Vermont, Charleston, SC, Nashville, and Washington, D.C. to name a few. Conferences attended have featured such speakers as David Jeremiah, Art Linkletter, and singer Bev Shea. These are almost annual trips to sites such as Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, TN, and Charleston, SC. At our luncheons we feature a program of interest to Seniors covering a wide variety of topics and issues. There is almost always entertainment, and, of course, plenty of good food. The Young At Hearts Choir meets regularly to prepare music for both in-house and outside ministry opportunities.
