The Glen Hope Worship Choir is a ministry "family" that facilitates worship in our Sunday morning and evening services, as well as music for special services and seasonal presentations. We employ choral music in a variety of styles; classic sacred music, contemporary, Southern Gospel, and hymn arrangements. You might call us "eclectic" in our worship style. The Worship Choir is open to those of high school age and up who first, have a love for the Lord, and secondly, a love for sharing through the media of music. Most, but not all of our soloists, groups and ensembles come out of the choir ministry. Rehearsals for this choir are each Wednesday evening from 7:30 - 8:30 PM in the Choir Room. For more information, contact Worship Pastor, Jim Wrenn.
Kid's Praise is our Children's Choir ministry for children K5 through 5th grade. The children will sing several times during the year, and present special seasonal programs (Christmas and Easter). Rehearsals are held on Sunday afternoons from 5:00 to 6:15 PM.
There are opportunities within the Music Ministry for instrumentalists; both as solo players and members of an ensemble. Our Handbell Choir rehearses regularly and plays several times through the church year, especially for Christmas and Easter. Contact Jim Wrenn for more information. "Unashamed", our Praise Band, leads weekly in Youth Worship, and leads periodically in our main worship services. Contact our Student pastor, Brent Smith for opportunities in this area.
Young at Hearts (Senior Adult) Choir
This fun choir is made up of those senior adults, age 55 and up, who have a song in their heart, and a desire to share it. After a period of rehearsing, we "hit the road", sharing our music in Nursing homes, retirement centers, and other area locations where Senior Adults gather. You need not to have sung in another choir previously. Our rehearsals are on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 to noon-ish. Contact Jim Wrenn for information.
