Worship/Senior Adult Pastor
I was born and still live in Greensboro NC. Through the example and influence of a Godly mother, I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior as a child of nine. The Lord called me to ministry when I was 19 years old, and since that time had served several churches bi-vocationally as Minister of Music in the Greensboro area. After a career in retail management, in 1992, God called me here to Glen Hope as full-time Minister of Music and Senior Adults. My wife Cindy and I met in church, as she came to our little mission church as pianist. We married in 1972 and have three grown children and six grandchildren. In my spare time, I enjoy watching and participating in several sports, watching cooking and home improvement shows on TV, and enjoy traveling when there is the opportunity.
I was born and raised here in Alamance County. I connected with Glen hope Baptist Church when I was a student in high school. I trusted Christ on January 31, 1999 and from that time my life has never been the same. I have had many opportunities to serve here at Glen Hope, filling in as youth director, being a Sunday school teacher, or serving as a deacon. I was ordained as our Student Pastor March 7, 2010 and it's truly been a joy serving in these areas of our church. I graduated from Liberty University with BS and AA in Religion and a minor in Biblical Studies. I met my wife Melinda here at Glen Hope, we have two children Aydan and Kristen. I enjoy spending time with family and students, playing golf, and playing and coaching basketball!
Children Family Pastor
I grew up in Athens, Al. When I was 18 years old, I trusted Christ as my Lord and Savior. I soon felt the call to full-time ministry and moved to North Carolina in order to attend Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. While working on my degrees, a friend of mine introduced me to his sister-in-law Erin. I quickly realized that I wanted to spend my life with Erin and she graciously agreed to marry me. We now have two children: Brody and EmmaGrace. I enjoy spending time with my family, keeping up with Georgia Tech football, reading, and playing sports.
